I have had the Electra Lazer by StrikeMaster for many years and just love it. I personally have no need for anything bigger than 6 inches. Since you are cutting less ice, you can dig your hole faster. Speed is nice but it isn't everything. I have looked at the Gator but I am not sure I would like it better than the one I have. I think they weigh a little more too.
