Welp the deer bug is really bite'n and with the season so far away i had to do something with in limits of hunting to pass the time.So... i made a feed station for my cameras. I didnt really go much into detail on the video but everything i used was either free or i already had so it didn't cost my squat to build. The best part about it is with a little reading you duplicate every ingrd. in the feed products you buy for half the price if you wanna DIY. I got 250 lbs of minerals and grain for $70. If i were to buy 250lbs off the store shelf from the manufactures id be completely outta $$$. So any ways cheap, easy, got my deer fix for not much money and enjoyed see'n it take shape. pretty simple and cost effective. I've seen alot of home made feeders made out of 6" PVC pipe but u cant get much feed in them. This way once the deer figure out they got a food source you can fill it up and stay out of the area for a much longer period of time.
i would say go to a co-op and buy a big bag of corn, wheat and soybeans and just mix it all togeather.. it would be alot cheaper and still good for the deer and other wildlife.. thats just me tough
ive got H.S. deer pellets(apple flav),dried alfalfa pellets cracked corn, dried molasses(sp),black magic co-caine....and i can tell ya already the molasses was a bad idea..it sets up in the feeder. My Bad. also got 2 small licks in the feeder. havent been back for awhile but im sure ive got some pictures. Test
